Anne Ottenbrite-Muylaert
Head Coach; Gold & Silver Groups

Anne Ottenbrite-Muylaert has led the Pickering Swim Club as Head Coach since 2011, bringing more than 35 years of coaching experience at the club, university, and international levels. An Olympic champion, Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Order of Canada recipient, and member of both the Canadian and International Swimming Halls of Fame, Anne has built a remarkable career as both an athlete and coach.
Anne’s passion extends far beyond performance in the pool. She is dedicated to creating a positive environment where swimmers develop confidence, resilience, strong character, and a lifelong love of the sport. Throughout her coaching career, she has guided athletes to success at the provincial, national, and international levels while helping countless young people grow both as swimmers and as individuals.
For Anne, the most rewarding part of coaching has been watching the Pickering Swim Club grow and seeing generations of swimmers become outstanding athletes and exceptional people. She believes the greatest measure of success is the positive impact swimming has on a person’s life.

Lisa Vitro
Head Age Group Coach, Fundamentals Head Coach, Red & Dev B Groups

Lisa Vitro joined the Pickering Swim Club coaching staff in 2016 after reconnecting with Head Coach Anne Ottenbrite-Muylaert. Lisa's competitive swimming journey began at the age of seven with the Ajax Aquatic Club's summer program before progressing into the competitive program, where she trained and competed for the next 13 years.
By the age of 10, Lisa had qualified for the provincial level and earned her first provincial medal in the 100-metre backstroke. At 14, she qualified for the national level and represented Canada on international Tour Teams, specializing in the 100- and 200-metre backstroke. One of the highlights of her competitive career was winning a medal at the Canadian National Championships.
After returning to the pool deck as a coach, Lisa quickly rediscovered her passion for the sport through working with young athletes. Today, as Pickering's Head Age Group Coach and a certified Level 2 Swimming Coach, she is passionate about developing strong technical skills while creating innovative dryland programs that build strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence.

Jacob Dosen
Bronze Group Coach

Jacob’s swimming journey began with the Pickering Swim Club at the age of 11, where he spent seven years developing as a competitive swimmer. At the age of 14, Jacob achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for Regionals, Provincials, and Age Group Nationals in a single race. This experience helped shape his passion for the sport and his desire to continue swimming beyond the club level.
Following high school, Jacob continued his swimming career as a varsity athlete with the University of Guelph, where he competed at the university level. His primary areas of expertise as a swimmer include breaststroke, individual medley, and freestyle.
Jacob returned to the Pickering Swim Club as a coach in 2021 after being invited by Head Coach Anne Ottenbrite. As a former PICK swimmer himself, Jacob brings a unique perspective to coaching and understands the journey swimmers take as they develop through the program.
Jacob is passionate about helping athletes develop both in and out of the pool. With a strong interest in strength training and nutrition, he believes in supporting swimmers as they build healthy habits, improve their athletic performance, and develop the confidence and resilience needed to reach their goals.

Noah Mascoll-Gomes
Blue & White Coach

Born in Montreal and raised in Antigua, Noah Mascoll-Gomes joins the Pickering Swim Club coaching staff in 2026, bringing the experience of an accomplished swimming career and a passion for helping athletes develop.
Noah represented Antigua and Barbuda on the international stage from the age of 13. A Rio 2016 Olympian, he competed at the Youth Olympic Games, seven World Aquatics Championships, two Pan American Games, two CAC Games, and the Commonwealth Youth Games. He holds multiple national records and made history as Antigua and Barbuda’s first CARIFTA Games medalist and first swimmer to qualify for the Pan American Games.
In Canada, Noah competed as a varsity athlete with Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University, where he broke school records, set AUS records, and earned multiple honours, including three AUS Swimmer of the Year awards.
Beyond his achievements in the pool, Noah is passionate about using sport to create positive change and founded the Making Waves Initiative, providing swimming and water safety opportunities to children in underserved communities.
He is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence, develop their skills, and create a lifelong connection to the sport.

Heet Patel
Dev A Coach; Supports Dev B and White

Heet Patel joins the Pickering Swim Club coaching staff as a Development A Group Coach for the 2026–2027 season. Heet’s own experience as a competitive swimmer shaped his passion for the sport and his approach to coaching. Through his time as an athlete, he developed an understanding of the dedication, confidence, and support swimmers need as they continue to grow.
Heet brings several years of aquatics experience working with swimmers of all ages, from young children to adults. He has taught swimming lessons, supported instructors, supervised programs, and worked with families to help swimmers develop their skills and achieve their goals.
Heet is a Certified NCCP Fundamentals Coach, National Lifeguard, Lifesaving Instructor, and certified in First Aid and CPR. He is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence, learn from challenges, and develop the skills and mindset needed to continue progressing in the sport.
